Dr. İbrahim Yaşar graduated from the Department of Mechanical Engineering at METU in 1992. He completed his master's degree at Karadeniz Technical University (KTÜ) in 1996 and his doctorate in 2002. He also attended the National Security Academy and TODAİ Diplomacy Training programs, graduated from the School of Justice, and took preparatory Arabic language training at Ankara University and Gazi University

In 1993, he was appointed a Research Assistant in the Materials Science Department of KTÜ Mechanical Engineering and held this position until 2004. He served as a specialist at the National Boron Research Institute from 2004 to 2007 and as an R&D Coordinator at the same institution from 2007 to 2014. Between 2014 and 2023, he served as Vice President, Board Member, Head of the Strategy Development Department, and Industrial Property Expert at the Turkish Patent and Trademark Office.

Active in academia, Yaşar taught "Engineering Materials" in the Mechatronics and Mechanical Engineering departments at KTO Karatay University between 2011 and 2014, and "Intellectual Property and Innovation" in various faculties at Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University between 2017 and 2023. As of February 1, 2023, he began his career as an assistant professor in the Industrial Design Department of the Faculty of Architecture and Design at OSTİM Technical University.

Dr. YAŞAR, an expert witness in disputes concerning trademark, patent, and design rights, speaks fluent English and intermediate Arabic. He is married and has three children.
