Prof. Dr. Alper Çalgüner, who entered Gazi University in 2007, has been working as a lecturer between 2007-2010, as a lecturer between 2010-2012, as an assistant professor between 2012-2015, as an associate professor between 2015-2022, and as a professor since 2022. He has served as thesis advisor to 17 master's and 5 doctoral students. He has conducted various research and application projects at Gazi University, and has held administrative positions such as Associate Professor and Assistant Professor Representative on the Faculty Board of Directors, Vice Head of Department and Major, Member of the Research and Application Center Board of Directors, and Faculty Erasmus Coordinator. In addition to the undergraduate and graduate courses he taught at Gazi University, he has also taught various courses at Middle East Technical University, Atılım University, and TOBB ETÜ. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Alper Çalgüner has conducted academic activities, given seminars, and led workshops at NOVA (USA), Ecolé des Mines (France), Lancaster University (UK), Edinburgh (Scotland), and Oxford (UK). He received design registrations as the designer of various products in 2007 and 2020. Prof. Dr. Alper Çalgüner has authored three international scientific books, in addition to national and international projects, articles, and presentations.
